British actor Damson Idris has had a busy few months as Tommy Hilfiger’s new menswear brand ambassador. Announced in November of last year while Idris was attending the Las Vegas Grand Prix alongside Tommy Hilfiger himself, the actor went on to star in the brand’s holiday campaign alongside Sofia Richie Grainge, and today appears in the brand’s annual denim campaign alongside supermodel Abby Champion.
The campaign comes at a pivotal moment for Tommy Hilfiger who has nurtured a legacy rooted firmly in youth culture and classic Americana. With decades of history at the forefront of American pop culture, Hilfiger’s partnership with Idris places the actor alongside other key figures such as his campaign partner Abby Champion, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Shawn Mendes, JISOO and many more.
“Being part of this campaign feels like celebrating a true classic,” said Damson Idris. “Denim is as versatile as it is timeless. Each piece in the collection has a story, and I’m excited to help bring that to life this season.”
Simple and classic, the campaign utilises the quality and fine detailing of Hilfiger denim with close up shots and simple double denim looks. Abby Champion pairs a button up denim shirt with matching jeans and logo banded Hilfiger underwear, while Idris a light blue denim shirt with darker jeans and a white vest. Each item displays a small embroidered Hilfiger flag, instantly recognisable and an indicator of the level of detail laboured over in each piece.
