Rising R&B force Bryant Barnes returns with new single ‘Why Can’t You’.
The singer’s tender youth – a mere 19-years-old at the time of writing – belies his huge skill, melting together R&B, soul, gospel, and more. The Houston-raised star shares the independent streak evident in so much Texan music, while also showing the influences of his peers.
Out now via Mercury Records/Island Records UK, ‘Why Can’t You’ is an emotive return, with Bryant showing a soft, low-key sense of intensity.
The dynamic vocal is parsed through a powerful lyric, one that spotlights Bryant’s ability to frame a narrative in just a few words.
The start of something new, the single comes as the vocalist gears up to join 070 Shake on her highly anticipated The Petrichor Tour with 22 dates across North America.
