In a seamless collaboration between CLASH Live, Pawa Speed Sports and Asics Sportstyle, we brought the UK’s love for sound system culture to the heart of Paris Fashion Week with a high-energy afterparty. Held on the second floor of an illustrious building near Place de la République, the event channelled an underground ethos that resonated throughout the evening.
The afterparty came off the back of a daytime in-store live stream of DJ sets at Nozbone Paris. From 9pm until the early hours, the event was soundtracked by London’s new-gen collective DOTWAVNOTWAVE, curating an electrifying cultural mash-up. DJs from Paris and London plugged in, broadcasting a sonic fusion of underground beats and live performances from 8SZN + Lakz, Drill Scott-Heron, Travy, and Crutch. Word of the event spread quickly, drawing a diverse crowd from all corners of underground culture.
One of the few non-industry events of the fashion week, the party packed out the space until 2 AM, solidifying its reputation as an essential off-calendar gathering. CLASH readers witnessed a creative connection between music and fashion, showcased on foot with Asics’ kinetic Gel styles – one of Paris’ most sought-after sneaker silhouettes.
The non-stop bass vibrations pulsated through a full house of inner-city creative thinkers, reinforcing the night’s cultural significance. Adding to the night’s energy, complimentary drinks flowed courtesy of Paris-based skate shop Nozbone, whose team—comprising some of the city’s most recognised skaters, creatives, and artists – staffed the event.
The well-designed DIY space was unmistakably infused with the CLASH aesthetic, capturing the raw essence of underground culture in an elevated yet unfiltered atmosphere. With a crowd of forward-thinking creatives from the realms of music and fashion, the event ended on a high note. CLASH, Pawa Speed Sports, and Asics Sportstyle successfully ignited an underground culture clash rarely seen at Paris Fashion Week – an afterparty that will be talked about long after the bass fades.
