Paris-based alt-pop voice Clara Le Bouar shines on new single ‘Silver’.
The songwriter’s ace EP ‘Songs’ landed last summer, featuring seven tracks that burst with melodic ambition. Clara combined personal revelation with an empathetic streak, crafting something warm and inviting in the process.
Those aspects permeate her new single, with Valentine’s drop ‘Silver’ aiming to depict the platonic love that exists between friends.
A sweet epistle to one of her closest friends, ‘Silver’ is incredibly measured, with each note serving a function of the song as a whole.
Clara Le Bouar comments…
‘Silver’ is more than just a song. I wrote it for my best friend during one of the hardest times in her life. Through the lyrics, I tried to capture her essence and our journey together. Lines like ‘Pretty girl in the mirror, black lace and silver’ capture how I see her—elegant, resilient, and always adorned with her silver jewelry, a contrast to my gold. To me, she is like silver: luminous, strong, and precious.
Tune in now.
