Erin LeCount has shared her viral hit single ‘Silver Spoon’ in full.

The song shot to our attention during the close of 2024, with fans sharing it across TikTok. Swooping to viral fame, ‘Silver Spoon’ is irresistible – the work of an artist too young to know where the boundaries lie, it’s a genre-splicing success.

Reminiscent of FKA twigs in its future-facing appeal, there are also shades of Fiona Apple in here – Erin LeCount not only fetches the bolt cutters, she grabs the whole damn tool bag.

Having started producing as a tender 17-year-old in lockdown, Erin’s music has become a mirror for her emotions. “Me and my voice do not do what a perfect pop singer is supposed to do,” she says. “My songs are questioning everything and I think my fans are too—I’m a perfectionist and I want to know every answer.” 

Given its official release, alt-pop twister ‘Silver Spoon’ breaks free of preconceptions. She comments…

“‘Silver Spoon’ is about growing up differently to someone you love and the jealousy and shame it creates in a relationship. It’s an argument at the dinner table about family, what might have been and if you could ever be a mother.”
