FKA twigs has revealed some secrets about her incoming album ‘EUSEXUA’.

The album will be released on January 24th, and it promises to be a work of sensual truth-telling. As part of Spotify’s Countdown To series, the UK artist sat down alongside Imogen Heap to chat about the album, and her creative processes.

During the 45-minute conversation FKA twigs reveals a number of secrets about ‘EUSEXUA’, including what the album truly means to her.

She comments: “For me, ‘EUSEXUA’ is creating purely and unabashedly, it’s feeling more comfortable in my body sexually, it’s being more present and being able to be at that pinnacle of human experience as much as I possibly can.”

In terms of its sonic palette, the album “is a psychedelic, childlike, playful exploration of what it means to be human mixed with this raw, dirty, hard, sexual grit as an undertone… which also represents what it means to be human.”

Calling the album’s construction “a matter of survival”, Countdown To affords FKA twigs space to fully unpack some of the project’s key elements.
