Franz Ferdinand covered Chappell Roan’s ‘Good Luck, Babe’ on Radio 2 earlier.
The Scottish evergreens are back next year, with new album ‘The Human Fear’ set to land on January 10th.
Fresh from a global tour for their retrospective compilation ‘Hits To The Head’, the band are on terrific form – and took this energy on to the nation’s airwaves today.
Joining Jo Whiley’s show on Radio 2, Franz Ferdinand played one of the host’s sofa sessions, playing live from the BBC’s Maida Vale studios.
Invited to perform a cover, Franz Ferdinand chose to interpret ‘Good Luck, Babe’ by Chappell Roan. Transforming it into a dose of dance-able indie, frontman Alex Kapranos told the audience:
It’s just an amazing song by an incredible artist. It’s funny, you get some artists that have a moment, often it’s kind of divisive. Some people absolutely love them and some people hate them. But I’ve not come across anybody I know, none of my friends, nobody I know, who doesn’t like this artist. They’re just so good. This song’s incredible!
Tune in now.
