JOSIAHDAVIS. has shared his latest album, ‘IN TRANSIT.’

Embracing a more melodic strand of rap, the Washington State rhymer makes a definitive step into his career. Piecing together moody, pop-infused beats, the 12-track project details the angst and vim of early adulthood, fusing together autotune with ear-candy hooks. Spotlight track ‘DO WHAT I CAN’ is a case in point, an introspective offering that leans on storytelling, whilst expanding towards R&B-tinged vocals.

The last year has seen JOSIAHDAVIS put together his most coherent work yet, collaborating with new forces along the way. Having supported Hobo Johnson on tour, the rapper familiarises himself with crowds far and wide, bringing a flavour of the Pacific Northwest’s underground.  

Speaking on the project, JOSIAHDAVIS shares: “IN TRANSIT. is an album about change – changing in mind, changing physically, changing for the better. I made the entirety of the album in my basement, by myself, at my desk. I think that’s what helps make it so authentic, the fact that I created the majority of it by myself with nothing but my own thoughts and my software.”
