Michigander have shared their long-awaited debut album.
The group have been operational for a decade now, merging indie rock, Americana, and more into a fan-pleasing brew. A string of EPs have paved their way, before frontman Jason Singer made a left-field turn, focusing on a full album.
Out now, the self-titled LP follows a number of stellar moves, including touring alongside Foxing, and the Manchester Orchestra collaboration ‘In My Head’.
A trim 12-tracker, ‘Michigander’ plays to the group’s strength – the nimble interplay, the lush arrangements, and the pangs Jason Singer’s voice.
“The last 10 years were awesome,” Singer says. “Everything built up to this point though. To make an analogy, the EPs were like television episodes of my story, and the album is the movie version. It’s blown up on the big screen. I’m just getting started, but this is my introduction to the world.”
Tune in now.
