Milan venue Tempio del Futuro Perduto has successfully secured a license renewal keeping it open at its current site until 2030.
The positive development follows a period of uncertainty for the club after rent on the space housing the venue was unexpectedly doubled when the Municipality of Milan put it up for tender. At the time, the team launched a public campaign for support and said the local government was targeting independent social spaces.
Confirming the extension to its lease, the team behind Tempio del Futuro Perduto told RA it was “a symbol of hope”, and added: “For once, sociocultural spaces triumph, proving their ability to face the future with determination.”
They continued: “In a city like Milan, which often struggles to recognise and nurture the energy of its youth, Tempio stands as a collective success. Our journey doesn’t end here: we will continue to bring our mission to the streets and public squares.”
This month, the venue will welcome the likes of Priori and Eric Cloutier as part of its club programming.
