Tunde Adebimpe has outlined plans for new solo album ‘Thee Black Boltz’.
The American musician is best-known as a key component of TV On The Radio, a group whose singular catalogue maintains an imposing influence over waves of new groups. Sought-after as a collaborator, Tunde’s solo identity is set to be refined over the course of a new album.
Out on April 18th, ‘Thee Black Boltz’ was produced by Tunde Abebimpe and Wilder Zoby, and executive produced by Zoby, with additional production and contributions from Jaleel Bunton and Jahphet Landis (of TV On The Radio).
New single ‘Drop’ is out now, a riveting intro that feels concise, while also packed with complex ideas; a direct, dynamic solo offering, the track hinges on his fantastic, unforgettable voice, pointing to prior glories while also asserting its own identity.
