YAZZUS has self-released a collection of edits via Bandcamp.
‘The 2000s Pack’ features edits of a number of classic tracks originally released during the compilation’s titular decade, as well as a couple of other songs from the ’90s.
Among the edited songs are The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’, Michael Gray’s ‘The Weekend’, Basement Jaxx’s ‘Where’s Your Head At?’, Mylo Vs Miami Sound Machine’s ‘Doctor Pressure’, Madonna’s ‘Hollywood’ and Daft Punk’s ‘Around The World’.
In the Bandcamp description, YAZZUS describes the Y2K era of music as her “second favourite” and adds that it was the most “impactful” on her life.
She continues: “Reimagining classics from the 2000s and classic hits from pop stars, house heads and absolute icons, these edits are also ushering in a new era of Yazzus production! Bassline warriors assemble here. Damn Y2K bass really is next level hot and insane, and all these tracks are legit my childhood faves mwah mwah.”
